Vital Statistics

• Time of Birth: Saturday 12th July 2003, 2.35pm
• Place of Birth: Hills Private Hospital, Baulkham Hills, NSW
• Birth Weight: 3.49kg (7lbs 11oz in old money)
• Length (later to be knowns as 'height'): 51cm (~18")

How it all began

• 9pm friday 11th; Sureka went into hospital as scheduled. Induction procedure started
• 7am saturday 12th; contractions every 4 minutes
• 2pm saturday 12th; signs of fetal distress. No signs of dilation
• 2:35pm saturday 12th; Jeyanth delivered by emergency caesarian. Placed in oxygen rich atmosphere due to respiratory distress
• 8pm saturday 12th; Jeyanth off oxygen, allowed out of special care to feed
• 9am sunday 13th; Jeyanth out of special care, Sureka off drips
• Sunday 13th-Thursday 17th; Sureka and Jeyanth stay in hospital, Sureka recovering from surgery, Jeyanth getting the hang of life, learning to feed etc.
• Friday 18th; Sureka and Jeyanth come home! Jeyanth gaining weight generally a happy baby, Sureka sore but basically well.
